Mission Statement

I am driven to seek solutions to the behavioral health inequities and social problems that exist in today's society, especially those challenges faced by people of color and LGBTQIA+ identified populations.

The aim in my academic, teaching, and practice pursuits is to develop relationships and strategies that promote systems and individuals that are committed to diversity, inclusion, equity and justice. 

As a researcher, I am interested in using both quantitative and qualitative methods to advance these aims by developing and testing innovative approaches to educate helping professionals while also advancing equity in organizations.
